On the Wall (which is better than going UP it)

One of the nicer things about having kids is that you always have "folk art" available for your walls.  (And if it's applied directly to the walls, there's always Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser.)

Here's a sample from this week.

DLG is very thrilled and proud that she gets to use water paints at school (since Mommy is mean and doesn't let her paint at home anytime she wants.)  So, in keeping with their Pre-school study of the color brown and with the approaching holiday, here is her Gingerbread Man:

(So there's no brown. The girl likes the decorated-with-candy part.)

MLB assembled this in his S.P.A.C.E. class.  (It's a gifted enrichment program, whose acronym means "Special Programs for Academic and Creative Excellence.")  He is obviously picking up some good habits from me.  He told me that he was supposed to use 13 pieces to create a picture, but he used 14 instead.  From my habit of reusing scraps and re-purposing leftovers and cast-offs, he used the piece from which he cut out the circles.  PLANNED to use it by not cutting in from the outside which left the borders unbroken.  May I present, "Rocketship with Portholes."

Yep, a better way to look at the walls.
