My husband Carlos, upon reading yesterday's post, exclaimed that we should be helicopter parents, that we should always know what our kids are up to, who their friends are, how they are doing in school--- that we should be hands-on and involved in their growing up.
True, but "helicopter parents" are considered those parents who are also using their lift to keep their kids from floundering and failing, those parents who don't let their kids' feet touch the ground.
I think what we do is surveillance. Luckily, my brother gave us a Christmas gift to practice with around the house:
Wonder how much practice we need before getting an FAA-approved quad-copter?
